Review: Sacred Medicine Cupboard

When I first got this book I was blown away by how aesthetically beautiful it was. Every page is full color and there’s so many stunningly gorgeous pictures within it. The paper quality is top notch too. Sacred Medicine Cupboard by Anni Daulter, Jessica Booth and Jessica Smithson could easily be titled Sacred Self-Care. The book is a potpourri of remedies, projects, meditations, journaling exercises, energy work, practices, herbalism, aromatherapy, recipes, formulas and much more to live a magickal and sacred life year round. In fact, the book itself is divided into four main sections corresponding with the four seasons with sections dedicated to the solstices and equinoxes.

This insanely inspiring book is so masterfully designed that just reading it has a very calming and soothing effect on the reader. The book incorporates holistic, new age, shamanistic practices, earth based neo-paganism and eastern ideologies without being fully (or overtly) any of those things. Regardless of who you are or what your spiritual path is, you are sure to gain new skills and techniques from reading this book. I feel like my life will be much more enriched by this book and it is sure to be one of my main resources for dealing with and embracing life and it’s challenges through practical holistic magick.
